Quail Creek and Sand Hollow. Both have state parks with launches. Both have great bass fishing. Quail also has monster crappie and is stocked with trout. Sand Hollow has perch, I think.
I have fished Quail several times, I like the area going back towords the inlet, to your left looking out from the launch. Steep and deep on the park side, more sloping with some humps on the opposite side. While your there drive through the tunnel, accross the creek and up to the "Red Cliffs" park. The hike up Quail Creek is spectacular and can be done in an hour. Go past the steps carved into the sandstone for a real treat.
I haven't fished Sand Hollow, check the archives.

No perch in Sand Hollow, there better not be anyway [mad]. From what I've heard through the grapevine the rainbow troutskie fishing has been pretty good at Quail due to a fall stocking of trout. There are also a couple community ponds down there but I haven't fished them. Skawa, Tawa??? something like that and Skyline pond both stocked with troutskies and of course bass, 'gills and cats.
I don't think SH has trout but I could be wrong.

The community ponds are Tawa Ponds and Skyline Pond.

Both are even close to St. George than Quail Creek (not that it is far either). Skyline is just off Skyline Dr. north of downtown, and Tawa are on Snow Canyon Pkwy northwest of town.

Stratton Pond is another community pond, located below the Quail Creek dam in Hurricane.

If I were you, though, I'd hit Quail Creek Reservoir.

You can catch both trout and bluegill/bass from the shore at Quail too - and park free along the road outside the state park and walk down to the water (if you want). Probably will only get trout this time of year though.

The Ponds in St Gorge are fun to use when you have a few hours to kill.
They have some big broodstock trout in them right now, along with the standard planters.

Fly fishing is very productive along with small gigs and a bobber. Spinners will always catch some fish at the ponds.

If you try fly fishing, ask the locals what they are using. The old timers are happy to help others at the ponds.

Enjoy the weather there and have fun fishing,
DKS
