I was at I P about a week ago and didn't get a bite. I was fishing around the boat ramp just north of the dam. Talked to a few guys that said it was real slow they caught a few up by the lodge.
I heard from a friend that someone he knows was fishing up by the lodge and was catching some big fish, 5 lb plus. It might be a BS story but it sounded legit.
Where is this lodge? I have only been to I P reservoir twice so don't know the lake very well. I thought about heading there in the morning but not sure where to go.

That would be Lake Side Lodge . Don't turn where you did off of hyway 20 to get to the dam keep going about 2 miles to Elk Creek service station and turn west and follow the signs . Its the turn off just before IP Bills Island . There is a big wood sign that says Lake Side Lodge . Hope this helps. Curt G.
