The best bait for the bigger trout has been minnows, red sider.
.And if you stop of at the east end where the water comes in that seems to be a good spot, try to set up where the water comes in, in about 10' to 15' of water and don't walk around, the more you move and make noise the less you will get...

I have always had good luck using a black beetle. Make sure that you cover all your unused ice holes with snow so someone that comes over to spy on your techniques gets a wet foot!!!
NETO has had some success using lifesavers gummies, he won't admit it but it is true

good luck on finding any big fish in there!! i have been there about 15 times on the ice.. best day was 6 fish.. most days 2 or 3 fish is a good day.. biggest fish has been 15 inchs... best bait is fathead minnows out of the lake it's self.. i got a bunch this spring.. but even with them it's been so slow it's not worth the trip even for me and i'm only 30 min's away..

i have not found any lake that has been red hot this year.. fish lake was hot yesterday.. around here i would say E-lake would be the best bet for fast fishing.. palasides has been good for small fish..

I go when it gets dark and always catch two or three. I went two weeks ago and caught a pretty nice Tiger and a 20" rainbow. I've caught all of the rainbows off of a worm and Tigers off of minnows.
