Bear Lake
#1
With the cold spell we have had I would really like to know how the Bear Lake ice is coming along. Any update will be appreciated.

The Bear Lake DWR report as of yesterday is that the state park marina is frozen but the lake is still open water with a few ice chunks floating around. you can still launch a boat at the other ramps though.

I think they were thinking more on the lines of all the cisco and lake trout that will be saved by keeping 2000 people off the rock pile. I am in total agreement[Wink]

fish beauty may be in the eye of the beholder.

Every Mack i have caught out of Bear lake made my blood pressure rise and will be in my memories forever.

In comparison to what I've seen pulled out of Fish Lake no I am not kidding. Although I'll admit, size-wise they are a magnificent fish. But if you want one for the wall I'd take a Fish Lake mac over a Bear Lake mac any day.
