Kind of a slow night last night, but ended up with eight burbot in a couple hours after dark. Most were caught in less than eight feet of water. Dead sticking and tip-ups did not produce anything. Everything came on the rods we were jigging (glow jigs, sucker meat).
Talked to one guy who was fishing 40'-50' deep who only caught two small burbot in four hours. I moved out around 30'+ but only got small macks, so moved back shallow.
Good luck next week.

MountainmanZ, thanks for the post. How shallow were you fishing when you were in the "shallow" area? I spoke to a guy that told me he went fishing over there on friday and that he was in 5 feet of water and that he killed em'. He had the fish to prove it - over 30 of them - but I don't know if he was telling me the truth or not cause he would not share any other info (where, what he was using). So I am just wondering if he was telling me the truth?

We knocked them dead last year in less than 8 feet of water.
Hooked4Life and I (among others) fished Holmes on Sunday night. We did fair, icing 10 or so. Hooked4Life's son landed a monster burbot. The rest were dinks, one other was decent.
I agree, it has been slooooooooooooow in some areas.

After chasing Gregs "WILD GOOSE" and getting set up to fish after 10 may have had something to do with it. I dont know that I will pull another all nighter unless the piles of fish tell me other wise.[pirate]
It was good to get out with Hunter and see his face light up( at 2 am) when he caught his monster.
Even though he only caught the one, I dont think he will forget the fun times he had. I've always said " We're making memories"

5.5' was as shallow as we went. Should have tried even shallower but didn't. BTW we were at S. Buckboard. Looked like lots of people have been drilling holes there.
