ok ok enuf is enuf if you guy's think iam going to give you all my honey hole's your crazy nut's out of your dang mind's i enjoy some privace some time's to. the 10-20 pm's a day are geting old that all ask the same thing comeing to the bash but dont want to pay my due's and find eny rocky point.would like to get away from the people and so on guess what i want to get away from all the people to. do your self's a favore read old post's get a map and study it look for drop off's and some fish will be in shallow but they made this bash right in the middle of the spawn[crazy] and not to many guy's are doing very good becouse they set camp then wont move. i fish for 1 hr before i even set up to make sure it's a area that will work for me if i dont have 30-40 ling by ten iam going home bottom line it's not tuff guy's but damn some of you try to suck blood from a fence post???????i think i have been more than fair and gave up a lot of info but it's time for you guy's to pay due's and find me a spot to go lol.i will be hideing out in a honey hole sat night so if you can find me you can fish with me but yo have to find me............ good luck all kill what you can i will clean up the rest[  ]

So where are your honey spots?? I want to bring 40 of my non closest friends. It seems like with such a modest post like that you will just be giving info away. While your at it will you please drill me about 23 holes ranging from about 10 ft of water to about 70 feet off of your favorite rocky point.[ ] Dont worry I will release all my fish that I catch. We both have our own places we frequent and have dialed in. Mine just happens to not be FG. YOUR the first person I would PM for any information if I ever want to make the drive. Guess I screwed those chances up by trying to have a little fun.

sorry man iam worked up BFT stoll my bash idea and ran with it and i got a shirt with BFT on it. oh well next yr it will be way better no bft and a derby bigest most all that and some dancing girls like at the ellpot fest oh ya i enjoy haveing fun just hate the commetns people have to make maybe afetr i get back from the boysen classic in 2 weks i will come down and drowned a worm with you?[laugh]

+1 it seems like it is too hard for someone to do any research and way too easy to ask someone who knows it well.
I personally like to research info myself which is ultimately how I found this BFT site. I also like to get first hand info but I feel like it still needs to be earned. I dont blame you for not wanting to get flooded out with PM's, I should have realized you
were not in the mood for my sense of humor. I am guilty of pushing your buttons and I apologize. I think I am on one today being that I am not out fishing myself. I might have to change that.[ ]

OK,wasn't gunna do this but... I kinda agree with Fishley about the "getting your own map and look" thing. I'm new to burbot, but been ice fishing since some(MOST) of you were still not a gleam in your daddy's eye. I have been to the Gorge, did my map work, along with the "they're biting here at this depth" intell from the internet, and TADAA..caught more than I WANTED of those nasty fish! I don't even know the Gorge that well (learning tho') but the map, and KNOWING what the habits of the particular specie of fish you're after help. The rest is all sweat equity. If he doesn't want to give up the "sweat equity" part, THAT should be OK with the rest of us. That's all I gotta say.
Oh, by the way FOD... I'm going to the bash in my motorhome and ATV by myself...wanna go and fish with me? I'm the older guy at Starvation that had the old kinda white/dull yellow tri hull with the BABE in with me.We commented about rowing to troll or something. You have every reason to be called the FG gods and holder of all FG intel. That part was serious. If I spend 100+ days a year or probably 200+ in your case I too would not want to tell everybody everything I learned. I bet its kinda nice living so close to that huge ass lake. If you got bored with one type of fishing there are plenty other things to target.
Also if you ever want to hit starvation let me know. I fished there 100 + times this year, even if it was for only a couple hours for the day.[fishon]

Thanks for the offer but I have plans to fish other waters this weekend but if anything changes I will PM you. Good luck anywho. OH and see ya this spring. Hopefully my bass boat will be in working order so I can fish with both hands and not have to throw the ores when I am getting a bite. I missed tonz of fish last year because my hands were always being used to propel my harnesses. Its tough to set the hook while you have to pin the ores between your knees and elbows and still try and feel for the weight of the fish.[laugh][laugh][fishon]

Let me just say I am NOT trying to start any problems.
I have read many of your posts over the last 2-3 years. You DO know FG like the back of your hand. It was posts from you and Ryno that made me and my friends/family want to drive up to FG just to target some fish that have been considered trash/non-game. I have been up there before the bash and also at the bash. I thought the whole purpose for the bash was to get as many people involved in eliminating as many Burbot as possible. If they are such a danger/risk to all the other game fish that everybody enjoys catching at FG then why wouldn't you want to give out your "honey holes" If they are trash/non-game fish then it wouldn't matter if everybody knew how to get to the dump?? Besides if people really thought that only your holes held the Burbot, well then I guess they deserve to have you shun them like you have. [fishin]

my favorite thing about the gorge is each week it change's a little. i like to challenge my self and try new spot's by trile and area i eliminate the spot's i wont hit that much or find that sweet spot that make's me try and find more like it. I have not fished the same rocky point more than 4 night's this yr just challenging my self and trying to prove they are on every rocky point on the lake and in weed bed's and sand point's allso. they are here to stay and are in every inch of FG[frown]all i ever wanted to do is put a ton of pressure on them and exploite them so hundred's would target them and it worked. killem all ahs been the saying it will never happen but i like to think we are doing some damage? i dont mind helping people i just hate repeating the same thing 's i have posted a thousand time's with that said i would love to fish starvation i will have to take you up on that. this summer my goal is to fish some other water's besides fg and fontenell.and what lill i fish boysen and bull lake's.I just have a hard time leaving a place that eny day i could catch a 50lb trout........and thanks for the nice words after the rib shot's [ ]kill a burbot save a koke and feed a[  ] MAC..

fg is 91 mil long we need to target them all over that is wy iam saying eny rocky point the reason i havent gave up a couple of my honey hole's on a 91 mile lake is becouse i live here and would like a spot of my own some time's with out a ton of guy's hording in on me i beleave iam the one that started this all i have helped but unless i hold your hand and wipe your butt i cant help much more it's that simple that evry inch of the lake has ling so we need to fish every inch of the lake not just a copuple of my honey hole's that i found looking at a map...........and a lot of guy's arnt trying the east side and they should look how every one got stuck on lost dog firehole? it is crazy they are on every rocky point period. iam not shuning at all just saying do some research i look at a fg map allmost every day even if i know the spot i might see some thing different that i may need to check out......

Fishley buddy, I totally understand your frustration. There are always allot of people out there looking for something for nothing. I've had them go so far as to ask exactly what time they bite and state that "they don't really like to get up too early so they'd rather not waste time fishing until the bite happens". The question was so far beyond my comprehension I was dumb founded and didn't even know how to reply. I finally just said that I go out before daylight and fish until I'm tired and figure the bite should happen somewhere during that time! You're right about good fishermen usually only asking for enough info that they can then go out and figure it out for themselves. They are the ones that have "earned it" enough times for themselves that they respect the blood, sweat, tears, $$$, and time it took you to do that.
Keep doing what you do buddy and the next time you get some unreasonable requests for hand holding, GPS coordinates, moon phase, time, day of the week, water temp, etc.... save yourself the frustration and just hit the delete button....
I fish Starvation quite a bit as well, being a fairly newly converted walleye fanatic. I've got room for you in my boat any time. Give me a ring come spring and we'll make it happen.

Fishley is a good Dude, I have not met him but a couple weeks ago I sent him a PM. Having never fished for burbot before I was asking for advice and he was very helpful.
Went to one of his recommended spots the 1st time and 1 new one since, going back friday and gonna try a new spot we noticed last time. Thanks to Fishleys help and advice Flaming Gorge is rid of 50 burbot and hopefully alot more after fiday

I was thinkin of sending you a PM, but figured you would be getting bombarded. I checked out google earth and compared it to yours and Rynos reports and found a good spot to try. Thanks for being as generous with the Info as possible, keep up the good reports.
