Rainbow Bay bust
#1
Thought I'd return to the scene of last wkend's crime. Didn't uager in until pre-noon-ish. Already several parties there. S-l-o-w to zero as far as the perch fishing went. I didn't get a bite, but didn't feel so bad when folks who had been there since dark-thirty had only one perch to show for it. And these were guys who slayed 'em a week or two ago. They've noted a marked downturn in numbers, size, even bites since. Nearly everyone called it quits when the wind came up about 1:30 and caused a white sandstorm over the new 5" of snow. Noticed on the way home that those around the Island also threw in the fish towel.

New snow on the ground and wind are always a disaster. Getting snow blasted by the wind always ruins a good day of fishing. Your hole getting slushed over every couple of minutes, and a stinging face from the snow pelting it, sounds like more fun than work still, gotta love it!!
