I am headed up to echo tomorrow and need some advise. Anyone out there know what they are biting on or where they are biting? Hows the ice?

If you are targeting trout, fish shallow, even if you are over deeper water. fifteen to twenty foot down MAX! I would fish about twelve foot deep, maybe with a jig on bottom, and a tiny ice fly above the jig. that way you have two offerings, at two different areas in the water column. perch will be near the bottom, but good luck finding them. never done very well for perch. I have always had good luck for nice bows, and a few browns near the dam. walk off the shoreline twenty feet or so, drill a hole, and put your bait down the hole. surprisingly our biggest fish were only six to eight feet under the ice when we caught them
