motrs, batteries, and fishfinders
#1
Ok all you toon and tubers that have motors. Got a question for you. Wanting to keep the weight down on the toon I am not looking forward to adding the small battery for a new fishfinder. So Knowing that I can last about 5 hours on a deep cycle battery with a motor, what changes can I look forward to if I hooked the fishfinder to the motor battery? I just obtained a humminbird 565 and the motor is a minn kota 34. Thanks for the help.

I run both off my deep cycle. No sense in hauling the extra weight of the little battery. I only use the little battery if I am not using my motor.

I run the BIG deep cycle battery and I can get a couple of days off it, but I don't use it all day and I keep it on slow. I have the Maxxum 40.

I have special hook ups on my battery box to make things clean

Your fish finder can tell you when there isn't enough power for the motor. In other words, the motor will go before the finder.
