Oh yes the warm days are coming and it is time for the edges to get soft as the waters rise and the ice gives way to the water...
Ice be gone and soon...I hope...

I have only been ice fishing 3 times this winter and one of them was for five minutes at Yuba when I stopped by to check on the ice...
Its just not as much fun when no lake has any good perch fishing... I'm getting my boat out for a trip to Powell on 12, 13, 14 an 15 to kick off the year...

I'm hoping at least another month or better of the hard deck fishing. Haven't heard of any tournaments to be held at Willard yet once the ice is gone and the eye and wiper bite is on.

If my boat was up and running (which hopefully it is after tonight -- but that is another story) I would be tempted to head to Bear Lake and go after those cutts and macks.

I for one am ready for some soft water. I like the fact that you went out and tried something new. Less fish on the Provo with a sore jaw means they might be more willing to take a fly that looks like the one you turned them with. I know... so selfish. Nah... I just hope you're educating fish wherever you go. That ice would have me soiling my britches too. Any nice lakers at the Bear?
