Clearlakes Golf/Fish

Has anyone out their fishing the pond at Clearlakes
golf Course outside of Buhl. Looking for some stillwater fly rod action.

Haven't been out there. There is a fly fishing tournament out there next Saturday. Looked fun but I think I'm going ice fishing. Let us know how it is if you go!

Some guy just came back from fishing the "head waters" of American Falls...so he says...caught a mess of bows averaging around 8lbs!! Sounds like it's on the reservation to me but he claims it's not...(probably why he did so well and was really "sketchy" on exact location.)....

I don't think the Res is open until around May or something like that. Plus it's like $250 for a season pass / $50 per day. We need to try that later. I've seen pix of way big fish down there. We should think about Clearlakes if we both go to Jackpot. It's like $10 but there are some really big fish in there. They are all planters if I remember right. I 've only fished it once before and its been awhile. You can cover more area in the toons, but we could take tubes just to save room. Going to the Church of the Southfork tomorrow for a couple of hours before the Super, still trying to get the whitefish monkey off my back. Talk to ya Monday!
