Glassman
#1
My wife needed a day away so I took my two year old daughter to Glassman Pond for a little ice fishing. She has been asking for weeks to go fishing. This was the first time ever ice fishing for both of us. I think it was a great place to start. I still haven't gotten ahold of an auger so a generous fisherman let us borrow his to punch four quick holes. We dropped down some wax worms and within 5 minutes caught a good sized laker. Odd looking thing though. All fins are missing. Anyway, keeping a two year old entertained is tough enough, but her Barbie pole was the hot one for the day. We were there about an hour and ended up adding three rainbows to our total. She was a great help baiting the hooks, but wanted nothing to do with the fish themselves. Had a great time and now she wants to go again. Fishing with the kids is the way to do it.

Nice report and pictures Brock, sounds like your kid had a great time. Always good to get out with the kid/ kids for a little fishing time.[Smile] FYI all hatchery raised fish have little to no fins because they rub them down in the concrete tanks they live in before they are planted.

Great way to start your ice fishing career, and hers, too.

Right on! Fun times. I need to get my daughter out again too. The look on her face catching and reeling in her first fish through the ice was priceless. I've yet to coax the wife into going tho.

Nice work!!
