Ririe
#1
I decided to stay close to home and hit Ririe saturday morning. It was slow to begin with for us, the group next us got into the Kokanee but not us. Finally, at about 9:30 we got into some perch we caught 15 or so it was pretty steady until we left around 1:00. We ended up with 15 perch 2 trout and 1 kokanee. Perch we all on small jigs tipped with meal worm or night crawler, trout was on pink jig tipped with meal worm as was the kokanee. My dad also caught a crawdad on a night crawler. Intersting enough it fought harder than the perch. It was great day.

I was also there and limited out on kokes just south of the rock island. Kokes were between 15 to 40 feet down.

Where were you that you caught the perch?

Thanks.

I headed out this morning. Had a small school come through about 8 am and stick around for about 5 minutes, but hit really really lite. hot about 5 hits and had 1 one on but my buddy lost it at the hole. Check the other holes and found the school but got no hits. Funny thing was we only could find them on the sonar in one hole at a time[Image: dumb.gif]. Other than that we had a couple nibbles right on the bottom but that was it. Everyone else out there was going pretty slow as well. A few people caught some, but no one I talked to reported getting anywhere near a limit today. The one's we noted were all around 15 feet initially and would come up as shallow as 4 feet.

How deep were the perch? I only got 8 on Sat. The ones in 42 ft of water were small. I got an 11"er in 16' of water.

The perch were deep, around 50 feet and they were right on the bottom. They were decent sized all between 8 and 10 inches.

redleech, there was a group just to the south of us that really got into the kokanee early. The group was 10 or 12 guys with a truck camper made into a shanty, perhaps you were with them or saw them there. We were just north of them between them and the rock island. We probably should have moved around more to find the kokes but it was fun cathching the perch. We had solid action from 9:30 we missed a lot as the bite was very light.

I was also at ririe today. The fishing was also slow for me as well. I started fishing around 9:30 I got 9- 9" perch, 1 kokanee and 2- 14" cutthroat in 26' of water. I moved to look for some kokanee at about 1:30 and saw nothing the rest of the day. left at about 4:00.
