Skunked at DC
#1
Got a late start today and hit Deer Creek just before noon. Went N of the island where I'd been the week before and set up in about 30' of water with a chartreuse and orange ice jig tipped with meal wormand suspended below a flasher. After about half an hour I got a soft hit and missed it, after another 30 min moved to deeper water (about 40') and got the same thing, one hit then nothing. I moved shallower, deeper, changed to whites, glows, grubs, and between crawlers and mealies and couldn't get a thing. Stayed til about 5 pm and gave it up.

I spoke to one other person on the ice. He had a camera and said he saw the perch about 50' down but they wouldn't bite on the white ratfinkee tipped with crawler he was trying.

Anybody do better today?
