Ya, my daughter is beautiful. It seems like the mix is often really good for a girls looks.
I know how hardheaded and resistant to change the fisherman are as I had many 20 to 30 generation fishing families that adopted me as their pet gaijin in Japan. The good thing about that was that I could fish for free on their boats IF I gave them my cut of the fish. I am good at Katsuo Ippontsuri (Bonito jig pole fishing) as well as handlining other types of fishing, depending on the season. I fished from both the the Izu and the Boso Hanto ports.
Those thru-line rods are not yet seen on the party boats here on the West Coast in my experience. I think they would make great crappie and carp rods, depending on the size and weight of the rod. I wouldn't mind trying one for using as a boat rod (no guides to get caught on other peoples outfits) but I wouldn't commit without seeing the rod had the right length 7 feet and feel. Yes those rods are a problem, especially the old ones made of cheap material. If you weren't careful when extending the 14 or 16 feet rods, you couldn't get them back down to their carrying length. ha ha ha
