Winter River fishing around Rexburg?

Has anybody been doing any river fishing around Rexburg? If so, where and what have you been catching them on?

I went to the south fork above Heise a couple of days ago and fish were rising like crazy to tiny black bugs. I usually don't fly fish, but I guess if I knew what bug to use I may.

Any info would be great!

those bugs are midges and they can make for some awsesome awesome dry fly fishing in the winter. im down to hit the river tomorrow if you or anybody else is interested.

Hit it today, most the fish were whitefish, but still fun for a catch. Landed a nice brown amidst the whitefish. I was only there for a couple hours. I'd still like to get out with you sometime chrome, thursdays are usually my days off.

thursdays early morning to afternoon might work for me just let me know what works for you. as for tomorrow slipped my mind about V-day no way im gonna make it out tomorrow.
