Shawnee State Park?
#1
Does anyone know anything about this lake or Lake Koon near the Maryland bourder? How about Lake Gordon or even Saltlick Res?

Not real sure about Shawnee(only fished a couple of times), but both Koon and Gordon are good lakes for bass, crappie and bluegill. My dad was telling me he used to occasionally catch perch and walleye there as well, but I never have caught any there. I guess the Fish Comission also stocks trout in one of them, not sure which. I have caught a few rainbows there while bass fishing, so it might be worth checking out during trout.

We've fished Shawnee the past few years on kayaks all of the lake. It's a beautiful park all around and if you go there i suggest visiting gravity hill while you are there its not to far away. We have caught some nice size bass up to a little over 5lbs I caught one late bass season I am having mounted out of this lake. My profile picture is actually from when we were there. Weve also caught some nice size pike, muskey, pickerel, tons of crappie expecially out from under the bridges, yellow perch, carp, catfish even caught two on small spinners, and of course blue gill. It's non powered boats and i think electric motors only. The water is almost always muddy. There are some good weed beds and a few big bridges to fish under or at some steep slate drop offs all around nice lake. We've been to lake Koon and Gordon once this year we didn't do to well but caught a few bass, and a few other fish but they both were realy nice looking reservoir type lakes we are definitly going back to them to try them again this year.
