how is hyrum ice?

thinking of heading up to visit family this weekend how is the ice conditions and fishing at hyrum what tech. has been working we ususly use little shrimp in a can but any other ideas would be helpfull

I was out there a week and a half ago. Plenty of ice. Fishing has slowed. We were catching a lot of trout on pink and white/pearl jigs or glow jigs tipped with a meal worm. I have heard of some others fishing in the deep water doing ok with perch.

how was the slush? Were there any wheelers on the ice? Thanks!

No slush then. Could be a little now but shouldn't be anything to worry about. Plenty if 4-wheelers, sleds, and UTV's.

Sorry for late reply been busy nursing knee back to gether after trip, edges on south east side were soft ice about foot thick Baby Girl fell through ice on edge with dad holding her that is how knee got more buggerd up we fished for a while before she got two cold and then left out of all 4 of us we only landed 2 purch WOPPERS [bob] got there about 4 pm fished on west side by open water we could see lots of fish through the hole laying on ice but Me and Baby Girl were the only ones to catch.
