Penn Captiva Reel

Has anyone used a Penn Captiva reel.....any input would be appreciated.

I had one "once"....

The first day fishing with it the handle came off in my hand..

I fixed that with some superglue on the bolt.

about 1 month later I hooked a 22lb blue cat and the reel stripped out and wouldn't even reel in line anymore and I had to use my HANDS to get the fish in.

I took it off the rod and threw it in the river.

BUT: That is my only experience with only ONE of them, I might have got one that was not properly assembled and might have been a fluke in production.

But I won't buy another one.

Edit: my fishing buddy just stopped by and saw me reading this post and said, " There's a reason they call them Craptiva."
