REPORT FROM THE SOUTHLAND

Fished Sand Hollow from 12-430PM.Tried several things (deep running spinner bait, c-rig with 7" worm,crank bait) then went with my old favorite the drop-shot.Caught 7 Largemouth Bass[Smile] Three dinks,two 14", one 15" and one 18".Great warm day in the seventies.Water temp was from 52, to 56.56 at the south end of the lake.caught them in 25-30' of water.I want to move down here!![fishin]

Nate-Didn't see a Island,went over one spot in the middle of the lake that went from 35' to 19',then back to 35-40',was that it? Caught them on the South end in 25-30' of water

No, I'm just referring to the big rock outcropping just east of the boat ramp. There is a scuba/swimming only area between the ramp and the "island".

All the times I've fished at SH, there are always a bunch of boats fishing it. I think there are a lot of shallow areas around it, with some steep drop offs.

Just thinking about that lake gets me excited to get down there!

Saw a few boats fishing that,didn't see them catch any thing,but who knows.Fished the harbor, and around there in my pontoon in Nov. and picked up a few small ones. Have to be careful in there with a boat,rocks stick up.
