The NJ DEP Division of Fish and Wildlife advises hunters that the Spring Turkey Permit Application Period opened today, Monday, January 25. Applications can be made either through the online license website or at a license agent. The application period remains open until February 22, and applicants can review and edit their applications online until the application period closes.
Turkey hunters need to be aware of changes that have been made to certain Turkey Hunting Area (Zone) boundaries. The format (length and structure) of the season has also changed. Detailed information can be found in the Turkey Permit Supplement at www.njfishandwildlife.com/pdf/2010/turkey10.pdf (pdf, 420kb). The print version will arrive at license agents and division offices soon.
