Swan Falls on the snake river?

I am going with a friend sturgeon fishing for the first time and need to know what kind of shore access there is below the concrete dam. We will be on-shore. Is there a better place to try or will this be a good spot?

There is fairly decent access at swan, but I would bring plenty of weights cause its really snaggy down there. There are some pretty decent fish in there but its not as good as strike.

How far is it from Swan Falls to CJ? Or Boise to CJ?

from boise to cj is about 45 mins to an hour depending on the way you go. The best way to find the route is go to mapquest or yahoo's driving directions. FYI though, Cj strike can be a snagfest too

NP, I would give swan falls a shot, there is some decent fishing there, ive caught several right below the damn over six feet and lost one that i swore was longer than my 9 ft rod.
