Flaming Gorge Open Water

Just a quick report on the Gorge. Arrived Friday afternoon to find half of Linwood Bay still under ice, but Antlope Flat, Swim Beach and all the way up to Buck Board is ice free including the narrows at the pipe line. It was a cold, blustery, windy weekend. The Macks are pretty scattered, but you can mark some if you look hard enough. I only managed to dredge up a pup, about 20", but just getting the boat out was worth the trip.

Well that's good to hear that there's a lot of open water to fish. We're going up on Friday and staying through Monday. That sucks you only caught 1 fish all weekend! Did you try targeting any other species or just lakers?
