Bass in Salem Pond?

I have heard rumors that there are bass in Salem Pond. Does anyone know for sure? I am looking forward to catching some large or small mouth bass. Could I get some suggestions on what to use or if there is a better place near or in Utah county to go.

There are largemouth in Salem Pond. There are some pretty big ones too. They see a lot of fishermen though, so they can be pretty wary. I caught some better fish throwing unweighted slug gos and similar plastics.

For smallmouth I would suggest Deer Creek, Jordanelle or Rockport. They can all be excellent, though a bit more of a drive.
