Utah Lake Tips - Wayne's version
#1
I've lived in Utah now for almost 30 yrs, and have fished UL extensively! Don't like it that much, sometimes...almost died on it NUMEROUS times (things could'a went wrong but didn't)...stood butt deep in it so many times I wish I had a dollar for every hour... ice fished it, trolled it for Wallys and Whities, got many a channel off bobbers next to shore, and the ONE GO TO that I still use and NEVER fails me is..........

A jig (or two) under whatever size bobber that will support them. Be it spinner blade jig, hair, twister, tube, whatever...in white, chartruese, blue, brown/orange, or black. Set the depth so that you run 1/3 DEEPER than the depth of the water and reel medium speed. This keeps you just above the bottom, and right in Mr Wallys face! The other jig rides tantalizingly right in Mr Whities face! And the bonus is ya don't SNAG Mr Wally but you WILL get the occasional bonus of snagging Mr Carpsucker

I could'a CLEANED UL out of carp and white bass [Image: bobwink.gif] if I cared standing in the water that long!! It's THAT good!![Image: surprised.gif]
