Heading up Sardine Canyon, noticed mantua is 2/3's Ice Free! Launched the boat at hyrum at 8:10 outside temp was 33. I was wanting to try out my new to me boat more than fishing(maybe). Within 3 seconds of putting my lucky craft in the water zing!!! fish on. It was the first of 6 fish for the day. All fish were caught before 11:00. Not even a bite from 11-1(when we left. The biggest one went just over 16in and very footballish the smallest was 9in with 4 in the 12-13 in range. [inline 002.JPG]

Nice fish! I made it out on the ninth after work, on the water from 5:30-7:30, boated three fish and had three others come off. I too just recently got a new to me boat, but I am still very new to lake fishing (besides ice fishing) so far it's been a blast.
