Well it's about time. After checking the fishcam daily for several weeks, tonight is the first time I have seen anything on it. I saw salmon in three different screens since I read your post. Thanks.

They are definitely on their way! The Washington Fish and Wildlife reported that the best fishing right now is at the I-5 bridge between Portland and Vancouver, WA. I had noticed the numbers at Bonneville spike yesterday. This will be the fifth year in a row they are signif. late. Must have heard about the Idaho weather!! Mike

This season is starting to look great. I have vacation saved also. I am planning on a 10 day trip. I just hope the numbers stay up. Seems they are early this year compared to previous years. Can't wait to hook into a 20lber and have a good fight. It is still not like Alaska, but it is the closest I am going to get. I wish we had a Silver run. Those fish are so much fun and taste so good.

Man I am getting excited for Salmon season. Over 7000+ came over the dam on Mon and from the looks of the cam tonight, there should be even more than that today. I can smell them on the BBQ all ready. [cool]

That pics looks like a Steelhead, not a Silver.

That aint no steelhead................. Check out the hooked nose, lack of spots, etc..................... 100 percent clearwater river silver salmon.

Prvrt, that is a Silver, no doubt. We got a bunch this last fall, but none that big. I saw a few big ones, but never landed one. Check out the anal fin and the (as the Kid said) lack of spots and the hooked snout.

Go back and look athe the Granite Dam counts for September and October...

Your right. Did not notice the anal fin or see the hooked nose. My bad.

When I referred to wanting a Silver run, I was talking in the Challis area.
