Stopped by the north marina on my way home from Smith and Edwards to check out the water level. We found a two wheel drive van stuck on the west side of the ramp. It looked to me like he had found a pretty big rock to fall off of. I tried to pull him out with my suburban but it would not budge. The park ranger was going to try and pull him out with his truck. I don't know if he got it or not. I did watch four guys in a bass tracker boat come in the marina and load with out ever hitting the bottom. They loaded on the east side of the ramp. They said there was 2.5 feet of water in the opening of the marina if you stayed to the north of the bouy. We are headed back over tonight with my boat to do some fishing. I'll let you know how we do. Hopefully I'm not getting pulled out next!!!

i can say the south marina is a disaster. Tubed the marina monday. it is so shallow you cant even kick in you tube. watched a 16 foot boat get stuck in the mud and took quite some time to get out. not to mention the damage they did to the prop and underhull. instead of the ogden canal dumping in the water is going out. it was like kicking in a river through the channel to the main body of water. i cant imagine why they are releasing water out of the marina area unless they are still trying to dredge it. i didnt see any equipment to do so. so float tubers do not launch in the south marina its a disaster and much like tubing a river fighting current. as well as not being able to kick cuz its too shallow.
a side note monday was the first skunking of the year for me at willard. haha i knew it was coming sometime. fish were suspended and very little activity for that day. ive seen this before seems like this month to the end of august is hit and miss now.
