I now that there was comments about Chesterfield about a week to a week an a half ago, but I was just curious if someone made a trip up there this last weekend. With the wind and the high tempatures, I'm curious if a portion of the lake is open. Anyway, thought I would ask.

I have the same question. Anyone has been to Chest lately? Thanks for any inputs.

I haven't been there, but Daniels is ice free and Chesterfield is only about 200 ft higher in elevation. If not completely ice free it should still have lots of open water.

I fished for a couple of hours on Monday. It was murky and cold. The fishing was very slow for everyone I talked to.

Fished it today, a little slow but it's about 80-90% ice free with most of it in the SE corner. Saw about 6 groups along the west side and a few boats.

Thanks for posting, and welcome to the forum. And if you don't mind my asking --- Did you catch any? What were you using?
