Looking to replace a previous tube that I purchased on a whim and failed to fully research. After a failure in the middle of Lake Mead, I will not do that again. I am wanting to see what some of you think. I am looking at the Outcast Fish Cat 4 and the Outcast Super Fat Cats as possibilities. I am 6'4" and 250 lbs (and shrinking) so I want something reliable. Anyone have good things or bad things to say about those two? Other suggestions for someone my size? Thanks to all.

[cool][#0000ff]The Fish Cat will float you, but you will be so much happier with a Fat Cat...or Super Fat Cat. More floatation, bigger pockets, etc. Plus the valves are better.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]In a choice between foam seats and inflated seats, the inflated have more leeway for adjustability...for comfot. They also fold up into a smaller space for storage or transport. But, the foam seats work fine and don't get leaks. However, they do sag over time and need some added support...or a supplemental seat like I use.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I am an inch shorter but twenty pounds heavier than you. Never a question of floatability in the Fat Cat. But, when I tried a Fish Cat I didn't have much freeboard left and the front end was so much shorter I felt like I was going to tip forward or slide out.[/#0000ff]

From everything I have read, it seems others echo your concerns of the Fish Cat. I believe I am leaning towards the SFC.

What tube did you have that failed? I am looking for an economical tube that I can keep at my home away from home when I am on the road working (which is weekly).

I had the water skeeter day tripper. Bought it at Bass Pro in Las Vegas without a whole lot of research. Needed something that would hold someone my size and they suggested that. Only a handful of times being used and it failed miserably.
