I have been wanting to Kayak fish again and Thewhizzle let me borrow one of his yaks to use at mead. I originally was going to take my wife with me but she was tired from work and wanted to stay home and rest. So naturally I called my old fishing partner from my youth, my sister. She has never fished from a kayak before and was really excited to try it out. We launched about 4am from calville and immediately started working some rock-points and drop offs. The last couple times I have taken my sister fishing she received the skunk or had little luck, so i was determined to get her on some fish this trip. I sat in the back seat most of this trip paddling and coaching her in what to look for and showing her where to cast. The top water bite was amazing this morning. My sister caught 6 and I caught 1. She had about 5 or 6 blowups that she did not hook up on. About Half were smallies and half were largemouths, all really good size. Did not take lots of pictures but did manage to get a few shots with my phone.
