looks like the minnows i catch here too. My dad and friends always referred to them as shiners don't know if that's the legal term or not [:p]

I caught about 15 of those one day and asked the fish and game if they could identify it. That stated that it was a common Shinner Minnow. Apparently these little guys are all over the place. The love muddy locations and if you found one there might be hundreds near by. It looks like you caught the trophy, because the ones I caught were all about that size.

Yea, the creek was really low and this was from a small pool. There was hundreds in it, along with a some very fat garter snakes chowing down.

100% redside shiner minnow (not in the spawn colors) !! Ive trapped 1000s of them in ID,UT and NV [
