Dock Fishing at Bruneau Dunes

Camped with the family at Bruneau Dunes over the weekend. Took the kids to the fishing dock on Saturday evening. I have a 9yr old girl and a 7yr old boy. We all caught quite a few Bluegill with worms on a plain hook. My daughter and I also caught some nice Largemouth Bass with worms, I was a little surprised, hers was probably 14 inches. Not close to keeper size but boy was she excited. The guys at the end of the dock caught a few nice ones with lures as well but no keepers (20 inch minimum on this lake). This is a nice place for kids fishing when it is not too crowded.

I camped at Bruneau way back in March. We tried fishing but had zero success. I was sure it was too cold/early, but figured we'd give it a shot anyway. Maybe I'll plan a trip back down now that they've started biting.
