Well I finally set the time for my trip that I won and will be there on July 10. Hopeing for some awesome dry fly fishing. I would also like to see if I can tie up some flies, but really am lacking in skills and knowledge. Any thoughts on what I could try and what would be some flies to be looking for?

Thanks
Gloria, my wife, is coming with and will be on the camera. We should end up with some great memories and just a great time. Praying for the weather to be settled down by then.

I think you will love the finished product, but it is going to take allot of time to get that squat back. My sister and my Father have both been through it and are so happy they did.

Well my wife and I are heading up tommorro (Sat). Should be good fishing but for sure will be a great day. We should have a few pictures to share and maybe a tail or two.
Thanks for your help, now if I can remember how to cast, been draging the fly around for a long time.

Well it was a Grand Slam day.
We had an awesome time and our guide Todd with SFO was fantastic.

He treated us right uptown. Here's and example.

South Fork Grand Slam rainbow, cutty and brown.

Even caught a few white fish

The best part was Gloria, first time with a fly rod and her first cutty.

Like I had said I had never been with a guide and Tod went beyond anything I had espected. We got on the water at 10 and fished till 7, he fixed my pole and then let me use his for the entire trip, never once got into my flies or had to tie a fly on or take a fish off. He even undid my wind knots and other messes besides keeping the fly in the sweet spots as we worked the banks.
The whole trip was exciting with lots of beautifull scenery and he knows how and where to go for sure. The best was when we hit a hatch on the gravel bar where we had lunch. We'd work the bank and the the drop off all right where we had stopped to eat for at least an hour and a half. The fish were feeding all around us and then some cloud cover came in and WOW did it turn on!
Not sure if I will get to do that again but it was a great time and I do love to dry fly fish.
