Water clearing up, river slowing, still lots of debris. 54 in early morn, 61 when we left at 4pm. Big browns in the morning on dropshot, one bass on a topwater (to my surprise). Best fishing was in the morning but I caught my biggest, around 3lbs. or so, in the early afternoon. Jerkbaits and senkos.

Nice work, Johnny! was your biggest "around 3#" a brown or a bass?

It was a bass. My buddy caught a 3lb. 5oz. brown first thing in the morning that puked up about 5-6 2" perch fry.
When are we going fishing?

[/quote] I must be out of touch with the latest fish-slang. What, may I ask, are "rats". Non-Union fish of some kind?
