Just got back from the Eastern Sierras great time.
Just an FYI: Lundy and the Virginia lakes had the best action for me. Silver, Gull and June seem very crowded and very windy after lunch time.

I just got back last nite. Fishing was kinda slow (full moon?).
Camping was great. Camped at Rock Creek by Toms
Place.
I try to also fish The Owens River. Lower section - way
too much water. Upper section - good flow. I would
like to learn how to fly fish the river better. I like
the river a lot.

I am a non resident that had a quick whirlwind trip to SF in late May. Did some quick rafting on the Stanislaus, and also checked out the Merced for future reference. Absolutely beautiful waters, though the Merced was raging at the time.
The dated website indicated floating within Yosemite was available, but I didn't see any evidence except outside the park. Would be great scenery for photography and a way to quietly drift through. Maybe not too great for fishing though. The drifting alone would be a joyful experience for me, even without fish, if it is still allowed within the park....
