In Shore "Edgewater" Florida
#1
The fishing in the Edgewater / NSB area here in East Central Florida is going off. The trout are being caught in large numbers early in the morning. After you have had your trout fill switch your tactics to sight fishing for Reds. The redfish bite has been averaging around 10 hook ups a day. Either sight fishing or fishing the darker water around the oyster bars and shoals you can't go wrong. We have hooked up with most of our Reds on shrimp and sight casting to them around the flats and points. The water is clear enough to see those red giants cruising. If you decide to fish reds early is is very likely to see fish up tiling in the shallows.. You have to be very quiet and use your pushpole instead of the trolling motor. When you do boat a red please make sure to take adaquate time to revive it after the fight. The water temp down here is very warm and I have seen a few fish that have died because they were released to quickly..
