Co-hosted by WFN News anchor Jim Van Horne and Emmanuel Belliveau, host of WFN Green, the show exposes the economic impact of the disaster on the Gulf region's sportfishing industry, the angling community, and details the massive clean-up efforts. It features insightful conversations with fishing guides and boat captains, who provide first-hand accounts of the toll the spill has had on their lives, their communities and the region. Belliveau also offers viewers perspectives from Gordon Robertson, VP, American Sportfishing Association and Johanna Laderman, Executive Director of the FishAmerica Foundation.

On June 30, the entire day of programming and commercial airtime will support recreational anglers, commercial anglers and environmental groups affected by the Gulf Oil Spill disaster. Throughout the day, WFN will direct viewers to donate to the WFN Fisherman's Fund, (www.wfn.tv/donate) which supports the FishAmerica Foundation's Gulf Fund in support of Gulf Coast restoration efforts, and the Venice Charter Boat and Guide Association.<br />
"We commend these providers for stepping forward to make sure that their viewers are able to support this initiative," said Corey Russell, VP Programming and Production. "Our hope is that this informative 30-minute special, the pleas from dozens of celebrity anglers and Gulf area people affected by the disaster, and our continuing coverage will inspire viewers to help by donating to the WFN Fisherman's Fund."

WFN also provides comprehensive information with a special website at www.wfn.tv/gulf dedicated to covering the crisis from a fishing perspective. Included on the site is a timeline of events, video of news stories, articles from WFN AmbasSadors in the area and more.
