We made a trip up to Whitney Reservoir yesterday. It was a beautiful day with nice cool weather. The fishing was good trolling small rapalas along the east side. We caught around 20 fish, a mixture of small tigers and planter rainbows. My wife did catch one nice hold over rainbow that was just shy of two pounds.
It was a great day to be on the water in such a pretty place.

Much snow left? I'm heading up next weekend for some camping and fishing and don't want to be sleeping in snow piles.

No snow down by the reservoir. There is still snow up on the upper slopes. Lots of people were camping. I wish we could have spent at least a couple of days up there.

Thanks for the report. my grandpa and uncle went up there a eight days ago and caught about eight or nine 16" rainbows and a really nice 19" tiger trout. i'll be up there first week of august for 4 or 5 days and going to try to catch a monster tiger.
