I decided to give the catfish a rest and see if I could find some willing panfish.
Fishing was great although catching was kind of slow. This lil' feller bumped my jig a couple times before deciding to hold on.
I haven't figured out how to find them consistently but do succeed enough to keep trying.

I'm no expert myself on catching the crappie, but about a month ago I was fishing Utah Lake and I bumped into a guy from Wyoming that gave me the lowdown on how he finds them. Apparently if you go to a boat dock either early in morning or right before sunset, and fish the piers, you have a good chance of catching them. I was talking to this guy right about that time and thought I'd try and sure enough I hooked into one but alas I learned that they aren't called "papermouth" for nothing[:/] I have been trying to catch them for a while so it was a bummer that I lost him. So next time I guess just try to fish some structure and let us know how you do!
