lol well as you can see your going to be hard pressed to get very much info out of the members here on how to catch the big lake trout in FG.. do a search of the site here and you will find some good info tho.. the smaller lakers are fairly easy find and catch off most the rocky points useing jig's..

I agree with Fuzzy, most of the guys have seen this question so often that they just roll their eyes and move on to the next post. As Ron indicated the search feature above is a good way to get answers to your question, you might also try out archive section, here is a link to that area:

If you search, I've posted everything you need to know to get a great start on here over the years. Probably too much, but its all on here somewhere. Jigs. Boat control. Presentations. Locations. Seasons. All of it. Lots of reports from my customers over the years too.
To answer your question, the best way to catch 'em is to use tube jigs, or troll something right on the bottom. Beyond that, the door is wide open. Everybody has their own little "things." First, you have to find them though, you can't catch 'em where they ain't, and they ain't in most places. [signature]

I prefer a whole sweet pickle dipped in mayo jigged like a maniac in 100 ft hands down.. Go put some time in up there an you will figure it out everyones doin it..[] Its so easy a 4yr old can do it so i think theres a chance for anyone whos willin to put forth the time an effort..

My wife caught a nice pup up there that had a chicken drumstick digesting in its stomach along with two foam strike indicators, so they might take the brats and any other meaty thing you throw at them. On the same trip she kept a really nice rainbow that was hanging out under a swallow nest area that was full of bird droppings (she wouldn't eat any of it). Those might be a bit hard to thread on a hook however.
