I know they charge to launch a boat on Pineview, but how about a tube? Also, I was hoping to find some perch or some size. Anyone have any luck there recently?

I am planning on takeing the tube to pineveiw this thursday, I have never launched from the docks and i beleive they would charge you but not sure. I usually launch frome some of the sportsmans access areas on the north side. I have done pretty good for perch and blugill the past couple weeks have only caught a couple perch that have been a good eatable size, and the blugill have all been a fair size. I have been doing better for bass at least this last friday and saturday. My advice is go early or after 7pm if you are going on a friday or saturday as the place fills up with swimmers on the weekend and it gets rather annoying trying to find a good place to launch.

Pineview is high on my list of places I'd like to try. Quite a fishery variety!
But it's also a big body, and I have a small boat. Are there boat launches along the northern "sportsman's access" areas? I gather there is a launch by the camping area - south-east end. Looks like there are marinas north of the damn - towards Avon - along the west side. So where do you go to launch? And do you have any advice as to where to find which fish variery?\ Thanks. Two launch sites for boats. 1 just north of dam and at the day use area across from or on cemetery point. I know it is one of those areas. Access to it is up by huntington. It is well marked with FS signage.

There are actually at least three launch areas. One is in the private campground on the east side (I think is called Anderson Cove, but my memory could be failing me).

there are 3 boat launch areas one at the camp ground(anderson cove) one in huntsville(i think thats the name), and one just north of the dam, there is also a private dock if you got the money. You could launch probably nothing bigger than a canoe in the sportsmans access area unless you can carry the boat. I usually launch my tube
at the sportsmans access with the bath rooms near the day use picnic area and just work my way to wherever, there is a new spot i am going to try thursday that i have been doing well with perch from shore and would like to take the tube out to get around some things and a little deeper to see what i can get.
