Water Skeeter air bladders???
#1
I had a major patch job on my Backwater air bladders and just dont trust the patches on a long float. Ive tried calling Skeeter, but after several calls and emails, not a word back from them.

Is there another type of bladder I can use in place of the originals? I like the toon and the heavy duty covers, so I plan on keepign the toon. Any suggestions would help, or is the Skeeter done and over with?

[cool][#0000ff]Sorry. We have a lot of active members but I can't think of anybody who owns a Water Skeeter. A couple have mentioned past experience but I don't think any of us have anything current to suggest. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I am guessing that you have already fired up the search engines and looked online. If you can't find anything there you may be out of luck.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]We all hate to part with a dear family member but at some time we all have to face the reality that time marches on and there are newer and better options out there. I suggest that you look at some of the newer models on the market and you may fall out of love with your old flame. Heck, it's only money.[/#0000ff]

You know I am about 99% at that point, its has not been successful at getting any info on the bladders, its like Skeeter fell off the face of the earth. Ill give it a week or so to see if anything pops up, then Ill hang the gloves up and get another boat.

I think they did. I know Orvis carried them but something went down. I think Skeeter went belly up.
Are you talking just a pontoon...you have the frame.
I went through this on another forum. You can buy different pontoons, but they could end up costing the same as a who pontoon.

I own a Water Skeeter Day Tripper that had bladder problems at the seams. I also called Water Skeeter with no luck, turns out that my U Boat 2000 bladder is the same size but the fill valve is on the opposite side. I just cut the cover for the valve and glued around the fabric to keep it from fraying. So far it works fine.
