Bass Fishing League Great Lakes Division To Host Event On Mississippi River

WABASHA, Minnesota - The FLW Bass Fishing League is headed to the Mississippi River for the third of five stops in the Great Lakes Division series. As many as 400 boaters and co-anglers will compete for top awards of up to $8,000 and $3,000, respectively.

Takeoff and weigh-in will be at Wabasha City Ramp at Ike's Park located at 707 4th Street West in Wabasha, Minn. Takeoff is scheduled for 5:30 a.m. while weigh-in will begin at 2 p.m. Takeoffs and weigh-ins are free and open to the public.

The Mississippi River BFL tournament is being hosted by the Wabasha - Kellogg Chamber of Commerce.

Bass Fishing League competition is a 24-division league circuit devoted to weekend anglers, offering bigger prizes to those who qualify for regional championships and those who make it to one of the longest-running championships in all of competitive bass fishing - the BFL All-American presented by Chevy. Top winners in the BFL can move up to the American Fishing Series or even the FLW Tour.
