Lower Provo
#1
Came out to Utah in late June and tried to fish the lower Provo. Very disappointed that much of it is posted no trespassing. When I got farther from Deer Creek lake it was too deep and too fast to wade.

What's the story on this river. It's advertised as great fly fishing.

Loved Currant Creek and the Strawberry at the Pinnacles, except for an avalanche that closed the road. Had to go out the back way!!!!

Couple of things happen.

First Private land owners successfully landed a powerful blow against anglers in passing HB141.HB141 closes all rivers to anglers that flow over Private land. [crazy][mad]

Second we had a long winter and late spring so the spring run off started later in the season then we expected.

Still good fishing just got to work allot harder to find those browns then we use too.[:/]

If you're from out of state and came here to fish, I would love it if you'd call Governor Herbert @ 801-538-1000 and voice your problem. The more people that mention this the better. BTW, they're closed on Fridays.
I'd give you his email address, but I can't find it.
