mixing gas...
#1
I have a can of gas. 5 gallons acutally that i mixed up for my OLD motor at 25 to 1.
the motor i have now runs on 50 to 1 ratios.

question is this. if the gas if mixed at 25 to 1 can I add more gas to make it 10 gallons to bring it to 50 to 1? my thinking is by adding double the gas, I should get half the oil ratio... but since this works backwards, 25 parts of gas to one part of oil, should be diluted out to 50 parts gas to one part oil if I simply add twice as much gas right?

other wise any one know anybody that wants to buy 5 gallons of 25 to 1 gas mixed with valvoline TCW3 oil??? LOL[Wink]

Yup, math works out dead on.
5 gal * 128oz = 640oz gas
640/25= 25.6oz oil required for 25:1 ratio in 5 gallons.

10 gal * 128oz = 1280 oz of gas
1280/50 = 25.6oz of oil required for 50:1 ratio in 10 gallons.
