A blustery day on the colorado...

Well got to Grand Junction today and since it is my birthday I decided it was time to take the family down to the river. We went down to the walking trail area in Grand Junction proper where there is lots of access. It was nice to see that the water has really cleared up since April. [cool] Tied on a red and white spoon (the daredevil type) and proceeded to toss it out. I soon had a nice roundtail chub on line and soon after releasing that I caught a nice little smallie. I was surprised at how much the chub fought and how it attacked the spoon. Had several others follow it in but then we got blown off the river bank by a thunder storm. Maybe I will get out again tomorrow morning before it gets too hot.[] I would like to try out a spinne bait or some plastics and see what happens.
