Well there was some talk earlier about using an old tolling motor transom mount for holding a wheel. Well I found an abandoned wrecked kids bike last year and had 2 old motor mounts, one had a steel tube the other was composit. The steel tube, beings it has thin walls accepted the shaft on the bikes front wheel. So here's some pics of the idea. Now to air up the wheel and see how it works leaving all the gear on the toon, including the motor and using the foot supports for the handle.

So where did you snatch the motor mounts? I like the idea you have. I picked up an old golf bag carrier last year that I was going to tear apart for the wheels. I like the bike wheel attached to the motor transom mount.

I know, when cpierce first mentioned it I was so mad I just threw away my old broke motor!!!![mad]
But, I like where the wheel goes already on the Outlaw, and I do use a motor, so, that could get a little crowded[laugh] Remember, my pontoon isn't open at both ends.

I had a couple of motors that had quit working and the one had a broken contol handle etc. Note that the older metal shafts was the one that would accept the bicycle shaft the newer composit shaft had a thicker wall and would not.
Not sure what to do with when ya get there unless you walk it back to the vehicle, but that would be only an extra trip.
It would also be nice if a wider wheel would fit on the mount.

When I first mentioned the idea, I had in mind the wide tray mounts of the North Fork Outdoor boats. There you could just slide the wheel mount over to the side and kick it up, while you mount your motor in the middle. With your small motor mount board you can't do that. Is it possible for you to put a small mount for it on your battery tray or somewhere on the side there so that it can just ride on the side while it is tipped up?

My fishings been lousy. I haven't got to go much this year or even think much about fishing. I've been out to Lake Lowell in my float tube 5 or 6 times & caught a few large mouth but nothing spectactular. Been slow out there this year. Must have been the odd spring.
I am leading worship for our church "family camp" this weekend at Cascade. I am gonna sneak off with my tube and try Cascade Res. & Horsethief it think.
I think the Snake River for a few cats might be fun for you & the grandkids............ It would be close.
