Where do I take the WIFE?

Since ya'll have always given sound advice, I'm asking for some MAJOR help! The wife has put up with me for 20 years come this August. My plea for help is where do I take her?

She loves to wade the stream with me, a good thing. However she doesn't fish. Weird, ya I know! But that I think is just because she hasn't really tried. I want her to know what it feels like to have a fish on the end of a flyrod. What I want to do is take her somewhere that I can find fish. Lots of fish with some possible big'uns! Like I said I'm a wader not a floater.

Yeah I know that is asking for the world on a silver platter, but I'm also realistic. So, I don't necessarily need exact where and what to use. I'm all for keeping secret "honey" holes secret. So don't tell me specifics if you really don't want to. (But I'll not look a gift horse in the mouth.)

BUT my request of you gets even better. She wants to be pampered. You know... a nice hotel with jacuzzi/hot tub in which to come back to in the evening. Yeah she wants it all!

Now I get to make it even more fun, I'm willing to go as far as any area in Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Colorado (or futher if its good enough).

Well with all those requests my only answer is island park. beutiful place to visit, no probs wading henrys fork of the snake and all the pampering anyone could ask for. There are many hotels and inns that would suit you and the wife just fine, Did I mention you are in the flyfishing meeca of the world? anyway Think that would be a great bet.

My wife likes being outdoors but doesn't like camping. We went to Red Canyon Lodge by Flaming Gorge last August and had a blast. It's 10 minutes to the Green, and although not as pampering as you're looking for, the cabins are clean, the restaurant food is great, and right from the dock while my kids were running around jumping in and out of the paddle boats I caught a ton of nice fish. It was a good compromise all around and we all had a blast--so much so that we're going back the week of the 18th. It might be hard to get a reservation but it's close and a lot of fun. You can easily go knee deep into the water and fish the bank with hoppers--there are some big fish in the lake, and of course you can walk/fish the green.

Has all the pampering for her, some really good fishing for you. A little spendy but worth it for an anniversary.
