Anyone been to Paddock this year?
I am thinking about heading there Friday afternoon/evening.
Any report on the Bass and/or Crappie would be appreciated.

Wow, Paddock! We were wondering about it just the other day. We used to hit it regularly for crappie--and nice sized ones at that. But we haven't been up there for 20 years, probably. Never hear anything about it. I do remember the road clearly, though. Had a boat trailer just break in two one day up there. That was lots of fun! Anxious to hear how you do. Mike

I'll be sure to put up a report on it when I get back. Wish someone would give me a report before I go also.

"The North American Barbie Pole Fishing Federation" had their first annual fishing derby up there about a month ago. They had 20+ people and only 2 bass and 2 crappie were caught all day. The winning bass was 4.3#'s though. Water level never came up this spring due to someone messing up the gates and it not filling. Good chance the boat ramp may already be out of the water.

Paddock was pretty much a bust. I caught 1 10" bass in about 3 hours. Closest to getting skunked that I've had in a while.

Thanks for the report. Even a bad day is worth reporting might save someone from the same fate. Or you might be bluffing. J/K [:p]

I don't bluff. I might embelish at times, but I don't bluff. In this case, I am not even embelishing. I suspect most of the fish were in warmer water. There were a few around, just only one taker.
